Despite its location, the gate is surrounded by endless plains, on all but one side where lake Victoria is. Common animals that may be seen in the area include buffalo, hippo, zebra and Thompson’s gazelle.

Best time to visitAny time of the year, but may depend on where inside the park you are going to or what is to be seen. For the wildebeest migration, the early months of the year would be best, whereas a normal game drive can be done at any time.
Location of Ndabaka gateNdabaka gate is located right next to lake Victoria separated only by a small beach side settlement, about a 2 hour drive north of Mwanza, and in north western Tanzania. From here heading inside the park, the nearest town is Seronera, about a two hour drive east. For more information on its location, please see the map below.
How to get thereBy vehicle using any type of vehicle or even a passenger bus from Mwanza; However, you would need a vehicle to get into the park, – any kind, though 4 x 4’s that are high off the ground may help you get to more places.
