One of the public campsites inside the Ngorongoro conservation area, that is located on the rim of the Ngorongoro crater. It is the largest and most frequently used in the area, due to its proximity to the Loduare gate where most tourists come from, and the crater.
The name ‘public’ referring to the fact that more than one unrelated person or group can use it at the same time, no pre-booking is required, and there are facilities available such as a kitchen, toilets and security. On the other hand, private campsites are exclusive, requiring prior booking before you get there and have no facilities or security available.
