Why should you visit?

Tarangire National Park is the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem.

The park is famous for its hundreds of elephants and migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd that scatter over a 20,000 sq km (12,500 sq mi) range each year, before returning to the Tarangire river to be preyed upon by lions and leopards.

Moreover, with over 550 bird varieties, including the Kori bustard (the heaviest flying bird) and the thighed ostrich (the world’s largest bird), Tarangire holds the most breeding species in one habitat worldwide.
