CHILONGOLA AGRO FOREST AND LIVESTOCK LIMITED is a dully registered company, privately owned and operated business under the direction of Andrew Manfred Salaka and Christina Andrew Salaka. The company aimed to be a leading private Agri-Tech, greenhouse and drip Installation Company in Tanzania working with smallholder and medium farmers, institutions and private companies to improve production and increase efficiency through the use of new modern technologies. We are currently specialized in the farming, collection and supply of avocado fruits and other crops currently in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania, mainly Iringa, Njombe, parts of Songea and Mbeya regions.

We not only grow our own fruit but also source, ripen, pack, process and market quality avocados year-round – all in a sustainable manner. Our vertically-integrated supply chain enables us to market a comprehensive range of quality avocado fruit from across the globe, meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations.

CHILONGOLA AGRO FOREST AND LIVESTOCK LIMITED supports and furthers the objectives, addressing challenges and enhancing technologies, from propagation to consumer service. CHILONGOLA AGRO FOREST AND LIVESTOCK LIMITED is involved in the testing and commercialisation of avocado and other fruits material in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania, in collaboration with various farmers, organisations and educational institutions.
CHILONGOLA AGRO FOREST AND LIVESTOCK LIMITED is continuously selecting and evaluating both avocado and other fruits cultivars to find cultivars that meet specific criteria determined by our Company’s greater strategy. These criteria include: finding cultivars of superior eating quality that mature either earlier or later than the current commercial cultivars to extend the season for both avocados and mangoes;finding cultivars with a better fruit size distribution, colour development (mangoes) and disease resistance; and also finding novel cultivars that assist in differentiating CHILONGOLA AGRO FOREST AND LIVESTOCK LIMITED from other Tanzanian fruit growers and marketers by the sheer variety on offer by the company.
